That's right, we said chocolate dipped! Who said mamas can't enjoy a sweet treat every once in a while? Here's the kicker! This "sweet treat" is packed full of nutritious ingredients like;

- Oats

- Almond Butter

- Flaxseed Meal

- Unsweetened Coconut

- Majka Nourishing Lactation Protein Powder (of course!)

These ingredients help boost your energy, leave you feeling full and satisfied and can possibly increase you milk supply. There's no reason to not try these guilt-free granola bars out!

So it's completely guilt free, while satisfying that pesky sweet tooth. Because if we're being honest, that postpartum sweet tooth can be killer. With that, let's talk the recipe!

Ingredients:

  • 1 Cup Rolled Oats
  • 1/3 Cup Raw Slivered Almonds (or nut of your choice)
  • 1/4 Cup Flaxseed Meal
  • 2/3 Cup Desiccated Unsweetened Coconut
  • 1/4 Tsp Sea Salt
  • 1/3 Cup Chopped Dates
  • 2 Tbsp Almond Butter (or another nut or seed butter)
  • 2 Tbsp Melted Coconut Oil
  • 1/4 Cup Maple Syrup
  • 1 Cup of Lily's Stevia Chocolate Chips melted
  • 1 Scoop of Majka Nourishing Lactation Protein Powder

Directions:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees and lay out oats and slivered almonds onto baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes or until toasted
  • Reduce oven to 325 degrees
  • In a bowl, mix together flax seed meal, desiccated coconut and sea salt
  • Add toasted oats, almonds and chopped dates to bowl and stir
  • In a saucepan on medium heat, bring almond butter, coconut oil, and maple syrup to a low boil and stir occasionally and immediately add to bowl with other ingredients once brought to a low boil
  • Use either your hand or a spoon to mix all of your ingredients together
  • Line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper then evenly disperse mixture onto baking pan
  • Place another sheet of parchment paper on top of the mixture and push down with a flat object to make the layer even
  • Bake at 325 degrees for around 20-25 minutes (you want the edges to be golden brown)
  • Let cool and move the baking pan to the freezer to cool even more
  • Removed from freezer and take the mixture out of the pan and cut into 8 bars
  • Melt coconut oil and chocolate chips in the microwave and then dip one half of each bar into chocolate mixture
  • Store bars covered at room temperature for about 5 days or freeze for up to one month

These also make the perfect snack and are perfect for busy mamas to just grab 'em and go! The best part (besides the chocolate!) is that you can freeze them and enjoy these granola bars for up to 1 month.
