So it's completely guilt free, while satisfying that pesky sweet tooth. Because if we're being honest, that postpartum sweet tooth can be killer. With that, let's talk the recipe!

Ingredients:

  • 1 Cup Rolled Oats
  • 1/3 Cup Raw Slivered Almonds (or nut of your choice)
  • 1/4 Cup Flaxseed Meal
  • 2/3 Cup Desiccated Unsweetened Coconut
  • 1/4 Tsp Sea Salt
  • 1/3 Cup Chopped Dates
  • 2 Tbsp Almond Butter (or another nut or seed butter)
  • 2 Tbsp Melted Coconut Oil
  • 1/4 Cup Maple Syrup
  • 1 Cup of Lily's Stevia Chocolate Chips melted
  • 1 Scoop of Majka Nourishing Lactation Protein Powder

Directions:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees and lay out oats and slivered almonds onto baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes or until toasted
  • Reduce oven to 325 degrees
  • In a bowl, mix together flax seed meal, desiccated coconut and sea salt
  • Add toasted oats, almonds and chopped dates to bowl and stir
  • In a saucepan on medium heat, bring almond butter, coconut oil, and maple syrup to a low boil and stir occasionally and immediately add to bowl with other ingredients once brought to a low boil
  • Use either your hand or a spoon to mix all of your ingredients together
  • Line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper then evenly disperse mixture onto baking pan
  • Place another sheet of parchment paper on top of the mixture and push down with a flat object to make the layer even
  • Bake at 325 degrees for around 20-25 minutes (you want the edges to be golden brown)
  • Let cool and move the baking pan to the freezer to cool even more
  • Removed from freezer and take the mixture out of the pan and cut into 8 bars
  • Melt coconut oil and chocolate chips in the microwave and then dip one half of each bar into chocolate mixture
  • Store bars covered at room temperature for about 5 days or freeze for up to one month
