If we're being honest, being a mom can be tough. After a crazy chaotic day filled with getting the kids ready for school, going to work and running errands, your energy levels can feel nonexistent. Us mamas could use all of the energy we can get!
Here at Majka, we can totally relate! When our energy levels start to drop, ideally we want a quick fix to boost our energy right back. Caffeine and sugary energy drinks can give you that quick boost, but leave you feeling sluggish and tired after your energy high fades. That's why we love to make quick and easy recipes filled with wholesome, natural, energy-boosting ingredients to give us our energy!
With that being said, here is one of our favorite energizing recipes. Majka Energy Boosting Date Bars! These bars will have you feeling full, satisfied and energized. An added bonus? They taste amazing too!
Majka Energy Boosting Date Bars
1 2/3 cup pitted dates
1/3 cup cacao powder
2/3 cup slivered almonds
1 scoop of Majka Nourishing Lactation Protein Powder
2 tbsp coconut butter
1/3 cup coconut flakes
2 tbsp syrup sweetener (pure maple syrup, honey, or date syrup)
- Put all of the ingredients into a food processor and blend until smooth (about 2 minutes)
- Once combined, place your mixture onto a parchment-lined baking sheet and press it down evenly (about 1 inch thick)
- Cover with saran wrap and let set in the fridge for about two hours
- Take them out of the fridge and slice them into little squares
- Serve and enjoy!
