Majka Chocolate Cherry Berry Smoothie

Did you know breastfeeding mamas need twice as much protein as non-pregnant, non-nursing women? This means that whenever you can sneak protein into a meal, it’s well worth it to do so! To provide a meal idea that’s delicious and very rich in protein (think 26g worth!), we created this delicious Chocolate Cherry Berry Smoothie.

It’s full of sweet chocolate and fruit flavors that blend together to create a smoothie that’s just as good as a milkshake! Plus, with an extra scoop of almond butter, it contains even more protein than you’d expect.

However, that’s not all. This smoothie features our Majka Nourishing Lactation Protein Powder too! We used the chocolate flavor in this recipe because it alone provides three different vegetarian protein sources.

We weren’t kidding when we said protein intake is a big deal! Our NLPP also provides essential daily vitamins and nutrients added specifically to help nourish your breastfeeding body by enriching your supply and making you feel like an energized powerhouse. I’m sure we can all agree that anything that energizes us is a must!

It’s smoothie time!

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup frozen cherries
  • ½ cup frozen raspberries or mixed berries
  • ½ cup frozen cauliflower
  • 3 tablespoons rolled oats
  • 1 serving Chocolate Nourishing Lactation Protein Powder
  • 1 tablespoon almond butter
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1 ½ cup unsweetened almond milk

Instructions:

  1. Place everything in the blender and blend until smooth.
  2. Add more liquid as needed to reach your desired consistency.

Nutrition:

  • Total servings: 1
  • Per serving: 517 kcal, 22g fat, 54g carbs, 26g protein, 15g sugar, 25g fiber
